Nathan Naiyu Cao was born in Shanghai, China. He did his undergraduate studies at Suzhou University and received his master degree
in Arts from the University of Alberta, Canada.
Nathan has been passionate about sketching and painting since his childhood. He has
studied from many great artists such as Yu Hen, Wu Yunfa, Phillippe Artias, and Robert Genn. He also studied in Italy for a year. He has traveled and visited many
museums and galleries in Beijing, Shanghai, Paris, Vienna, Milan, Rome, Florence, and many other European cities, plus San Francisco,
Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, Quebec city, Vancouver and other North American cities, inspiring him with the masterpieces of classical and comtemporary artists.
Gradually he has formed his own style, which involves using vivid colors to paint his love of nature in his own way. He has painted in China, North America, and Europe; all
reflect his passion in nature.
